The Nashville school shooting suspect was identified as 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who once attended the same school.

She had no previous criminal record but in the CCTV footage from the school, released by the police, the 28-year-old can be seen driving to the school in a silver Honda Fit and then shooting at two glass doors. She was armed with two assault-type guns along with a nine-millimetre pistol. Hale wore cargo pants, a vest and a baseball cap backwards. The Nashville school shooting victims were identified as nine-year-olds Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, and adults Cynthia Peak, 61; Katherine Koonce, 60; and Mike Hill, 61.
Who was Audrey Hale?
Cyrus Vatandoost, the President and CEO of Nossi College of Art & Design in Nashville informed ABC News that a former student named Hale graduated from the institution in 2022. Vatandoost expressed his condolences to the families affected by the recent tragedy and described Hale as a skilled artist and a dedicated student during her time at the school.
Although a Facebook post announcing an academic award received by Hale has since been deleted, it was confirmed that she enjoyed video games, movies, and sports, and had a passion for spending time with animals. Hale's LinkedIn profile also revealed that she previously worked for the grocery delivery company Shipt as a cat sitter.
The Covenant School, established in 2001, is a private Presbyterian institution in Nashville serving approximately 200 students from pre-K through sixth grade.
