Warren Buffett has announced that he will not support either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump in the 2024 United States presidential election.

Instead of taking sides in the 2024 presidential election, Warren Buffett criticizes fraudulent claims on social media.

This Wednesday, billionaire Warren Buffet announced that he will not support former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris in the run-up to the 2024 election.

Buffett, who is among the wealthiest people in the world, supported Democrats in three of the previous four presidential contests, as quoted in a report by the New York Post.


In a memo on his website, the 94-year-old businessman cautioned against fraudulent claims on social media that Buffett, the CEO and chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, had endorsed a political candidate.

There have been many false allegations about Mr. Buffett's support and endorsement of political candidates and investment products due to the rise in social media usage, the succinct statement read.

It came to the conclusion that Mr. Buffett does not currently and will not endorse investment products or endorse and support political candidates. Known as the ‘Oracle of Omaha,’ Buffett is among the most successful and significant investors in American history. His estimated net worth is close to $145 billion, placing him sixth on Forbes' list of real-time billionaires, as quoted in a report by the New York Post.

The Nebraska native's decision to not endorse comes after he publicly backed former President Barack Obama's 2012 and 2008 White House campaigns as well as Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. In the 2020 election, Buffett did not support either Trump or Biden.

The investor made the statement one day after Bill Gates, another billionaire, had donated $50 million to a political organization that supported Harris.

Forbes estimates that the Microsoft founder, who has a $162 billion net worth, is one of 81 billionaires funding Harris' campaign for the White House.

Meanwhile, 50 billionaires, including Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, are backing Trump's candidacy for president.
