The ex-tight end for the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers, reached an agreement on Wednesday, with the prosecution in exchange for pleading guilty to Pomaski's murder, reported the New York Post.

According to ABC 13, Ware has been convicted of brutally murdering her and burning her body, the remains of her body were found a few months later, in December 2021, in a ditch in north Harris County, as per the report.


The court documents mentioned that Ware had “cut her with a knife, hit her with a blunt object, strangled her and then burned her corpse,” quoted the New York Post.

According to the report, his girlfriend had vanished suddenly after she was last seen at a party at her house in Houston, Texas, on April 25, 2021.

A Troubled Relationship

As per KHOU 11 News, Pomaski’s ex-boyfriend Eric Zuleger shared that she was in an abusive and toxic relationship at the time she disappeared.

Zuleger said, “Taylor reached out to me many times throughout the month of April. We were talking about her getting out of there, getting back on her feet, getting herself set and stabilized,” as quoted in the report.

A Plea Deal and Prior Convictions

While, only a few days before Pomaski disappeared, Ware was found with guns in his car, including a loaded AK-47, and drugs like cocaine and meth, when he was pulled over for speeding at 115 mph in Montgomery County, as per ABC13 News.

On December 12, 2022, the day his trial was due to begin for those charges, Ware pleaded guilty to drugs and weapons charges and was sentenced to 15 years in prison at that time, reported the New York Post.
