Who is Joi Dickerson-Neal? The latest accuser in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' legal battles

Just hours before the New York Adult Survivors Act expires, musician Sean "Diddy" Combs is the target of a third lawsuit. Governor Kathy Hochul signed the legislation into effect in May 2022, giving victims of sexual assault a year to file claims, regardless of the statute of limitations. On Thursday, at midnight, this window ended, ending survivors' chances to pursue justice.

Who is Joi Dickerson-Neal?
The latest lawsuit accuses Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman named Joi Dickerson-Neal almost 32 years ago. Dickerson-Neal, a psychology student at Syracuse University at the time, alleges that after a dinner, Combs intentionally drugged her, leaving her unable to stand or walk. According to the lawsuit, Combs then harassed her sexually, recording the encounter and releasing the graphic footage as "revenge porn."


In a statement to TMZ in response to the claims, Combs denied any wrongdoing, referring to the lawsuit as a "money grab" and claiming that the narrative was "made up and not credible." In addition, Combs Enterprises, Bad Boy Entertainment, and Bad Boy Records are named as defendants in the lawsuit, which calls for a jury trial and unspecified damages.

Another Disturbing Chapter
Additionally, a new complaint from an unidentified accuser named Jane Doe alleges that Combs and singer Aaron Hall raped her and a friend in 1990 or 1991. The filing claims that after an event at MCA Records' New York headquarters, Combs and Hall invited the women to an afterparty, where the alleged assaults occurred. The lawsuit names MCA Music Entertainment and Geffen Records as defendants.

Cassie Ventura's Case
These lawsuits follow a recent settlement out of court with R&B singer Cassie Ventura, Combs' ex-girlfriend. Ventura filed a suit on November 16, accusing Combs of sexual assault and physical abuse over their 10-year relationship. The case settled on November 17, with Combs stating, "We have decided to resolve this matter amicably."
