Who is Jay Johnston? This question is being asked after the man was arrested on Wednesday in Los Angeles for storming Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021.

Johnston is a versatile and veteran actor. He has appeared in 10 episodes of ‘Arrested Development’, 32 episodes of ‘The Sarah Silverman Program’ and four episodes of ‘Love’.

This Hollywood actor has been charged with a felony, entering a restricted place, disruptive conduct in a restricted building, civil disorder, and impending passage through Capitol Hill.

A special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation supplied still images from public videos, closed-circuit television, and police body cameras.

FBI’s Statement of Facts document reveals that the person "pushed against police and aided other rioters" has been identified as Johnson.

The FBI agent also said that three current or former associates of the actor have identified him in the photograph.

According to the document, a Johnston associate also gave the FBI a text message purportedly shared by the actor that reads, “The news has presented it as an attack. It actually wasn't. (Though) it kind of turned into that. It was a mess. Got maced and tear-gassed…."

The document also claims that Johnston assisted at least three rioters by pouring water on their faces, besides stealing a Capitol Police shield and fighting a pitched battle with the policemen.

Law enforcement agencies have arrested at least 1,000 men in connection with the Capitol Hill riots, many more are likely to be arrested soon.
