A former FBI agent is set to spend six decades inside jail after he was convicted for luring multiple women to his Maryland tattoo shop under the guise of modeling opportunities and sexually assaulting them. The sentence against him was announced on October 14, 2025. He had worked as a Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI for over a decade at the time of his arrest in November 2024.

In a press release, the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office said that the agent identified as Eduardo Valdivia, 41, of Gaithersburg, Md., was sentenced to 80 years in prison, with 20 years suspended, according to PEOPLE.

Valdivia found guilty on counts of rape and sex offense

The former FBI agent was found guilty in July 2025 of six counts of second-degree rape and two counts of fourth-degree sex offense for sexually assaulting three women, according to the release.

Prosecutors reveal how Valdivia lured women

Following his arrest and after the case reached the court, shocking details emerged, throwing light upon how Valdivia carried out illegal activities and lured women with false promises. According to PEOPLE, prosecutors stated that Valdivia used multiple aliases, including “Lalo Brown” and “L. Boogie," to lure the women by making false promises of getting them modeling opportunities at multiple locations, including his tattoo studio, DC Fine Line Tattoos, in Gaithersburg.

Narrating their ordeal, two of the victims told investigators they were raped at the tattoo studio, per the release. One also said a rape occurred at a nearby hotel. Following his arrest, a third woman came out and told authorities that she had also been raped by Valdivia at a tattoo shop in Potomac in October 2022 when she was 18, according to prosecutors.

Montgomery County State's Attorney gives details on Eduardo Valdivia

Speaking to reporters after Valdivia’s sentencing hearing, Montgomery County State's Attorney John McCarthy said that this was "a crime that used maximum amounts of manipulation and deception.” “He was a trained FBI agent," McCarthy said.

"He was trained to go undercover. He learned deception techniques. He learned how to take on different identities, and in this particular case, he took on multiple identities to ingratiate himself with these young girls, who were all of his victims," he further stated.
