Social media commentator and influencer Brian Krassenstein is in the spotlight for alleging that VP J. D. Vance committed war crimes, following a US military strike on a Venezuelan drug boat that killed 11 people. Vance posted on X, “Killing cartel members who poison our fellow citizens is the highest and best use of our military.” Krassenstein shot back, “Killing the citizens of another nation who are civilians without any due process is called a war crime.”

Vance replied without mincing his words, “I don’t give a shit what you call it.” Krassenstein countered that such actions could be deemed extrajudicial killings under international law, warned of penalties, and even called for Vance’s impeachment.

Earlier, on May 16, 2025, Brian’s brother Ed Krassenstein drew backlash after posting an image of billiard balls arranged in the sequence “8647” with the caption “It’s time!”, a reference that had previously stirred controversy when former FBI Director James Comey shared the same number order in a now-deleted Instagram post.

Critics suggested the sequence was a coded message, noting that “86” is slang for “get rid of” and “47” could point to Trump as the 47th US president. Responding to the uproar, Krassenstein clarified in the comments: “For the record, I am 100% against violence in any form… 8647 means ‘remove Trump from office.’ Any other interpretation is what risks inciting violence.”
