Drew Droege called out a Los Angeles-based restaurant for their homophobic treatment towards him and his date and shared the incident on Instagram on December 13. The manager of Echo Park's Mexican restaurant, El Compadre admonished and objected to Drew as he and his date were cuddling and kissing after finishing drinks.

The manager approached the duo at that moment and said ‘You guys can’t do that here.’ Drew explained in his Instagram post, ‘We were confused at first, but then he very firmly stated, 'this is a family restaurant.’


The manager further reacted to Drew and said 'I don’t care if you are the President of the United States, we don’t allow your behavior here.' The actor and his date were shocked by the manager’s mistreatment and left the restaurant.

The actor further asked in the post if any other customer of the restaurant had experienced and complained about their behavior as there were mostly straight couples in the restaurant who were also eating and spending intimate moments with each other.



The actor vowed to not visit the place again and also called upon his fans and followers to follow suit. He however said in his post The food and server were both great but he and his date had a sad and disgusting experience in the middle.
