Anca Faur is a medical doctor who presently serves as the executive vice president at Buzz Aldrin’s company, Buzz Aldrin Ventures. Born on May 14, 1959, she completed her PhD in chemical engineering at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996.


The 63-year-old’s career began as a project leader at Union Carbide. She went on to work for Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells. Anca Faur has also been a board member of the California Hydrogen Business Council.

Little known by the public, Faur was noticed on several occasions alongside veteran astronaut Buzz Aldrin. On January 21, Aldrin announced his wedding to Faur saying, “On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur & I have tied the knot.”
