There were rumors that some computer graphics imaging or CGI work was to be removed from The Invincible Season 2 and hence it was delayed. However, Robert Kirkman has shed light on the actual reason why the team decided to reschedule The Invincible Season 2.
Why was The Invincible Season 2 delayed?
While speaking to Polygon, Robert Kirkman said that the CGI removal claims were mere "an assumption". The creator revealed that much of the time, The Invincible Season 2 was delayed due to "COVID" and because he had "to rebuild the team" post-pandemic.
He said, "I think that’s an assumption that’s being made based on some comments that were said at the (San Diego Comic-Con 2023) panel…"
"With COVID, there was a longer break in production than we wanted there to be. It took some time to rebuild the team," he said.
When and where is the premiere of Invincible Season 2?
Invincible Season 2 premieres on November 3, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video.Kirkman further revealed that there will be less CGI in Invincible Season 2 and Season 3.
"So doing less CG in Seasons 2 and 3 is a creative decision," he said.
