Josh Hutcherson drops hint

Talking to 'Variety', Josh Hutcherson said that the filming of FNAF 2 is going on at Blumhouse and Universal. He said, "I can’t wait to see what they’re going to do for the next one." He also said that the sequel should be shot sometime this year.

Earlier, when first asked if she would be interested in returning to direct another installment of the horror video game series, Tammi said that she would be "absolutely be very interested" in building more stories with the characters in FNAF 2. She told 'Variety', "I would be very interested in continuing [to direct a sequel], building stories in this world, building stories with these characters that I now feel, not just in love with, but invested in. I would love to see where they go."

She also said that she would be "really excited to incorporate more elements of the lore" that are tied to the second and third games of the series. Tammi said, "In terms of the franchise if we were lucky enough to be able to continue making more films, we would just be excited to incorporate more elements of the lore that relate to [the second and third game]."
