When and where to see Blood Moon lunar eclipse 2022
The blood moon lunar eclipse 2022 will occur on May 16, Monday early morning. People across the UK will be able to watch the spectacular blood-red moon.

People across the UK can watch the blood moon lunar eclipse 2022, if the weather conditions remain clear. However, the timing is such that people will have to wake up early to get a view of it.
A lunar eclipse occurs on a full moon night when the sun, earth, and moon are in alignment, and the earth comes in between the two.
The moon does not have its own source of light, and it shines as it reflects the light from the sun. And, during a lunar eclipse, as the earth blocks the light from the sun, the moon would not shine.
Now, the question comes, why does the moon turn red during a blood moon lunar eclipse? The answer to that is that light from the earth’s sunrise and sunset illuminates the moon, giving its blood red look. Some of the filtered morning and evening light passes through the earth’s atmosphere and reaches the moon’s surface.
During the blood moon lunar eclipse, the moon gets dimly illuminated by the red-orange light that reaches the moon’s surface at the time of sunrise or sunset.
The depth and the hue of the color red depend on external factors like atmospheric dust and clouds at the time when the eclipse occurs.
Now the question comes when will the blood moon lunar eclipse in 2022 happen? The lunar eclipse will happen on May 16, 2022, early morning between 2:32 AM and 05:11 AM across the UK. The first part of the eclipse, called the Penumbral eclipse, will occur at 2:32 AM, the second part, called the Partial eclipse, will begin at 3: 27 AM, and the next and final part, the full eclipse, will begin at 4: 29 AM.
People can brace themselves for a spectacular view during the blood moon lunar eclipse 2022.
