This is a sequel that takes 300 years after the events of War of the Planet of the Apes'. Wes Ball, known for 'Maze Runner' has directed it. The movie will hit the theaters on May 10, 2024.

According to an official synopsis for 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes', director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global epic franchise. The franchise sets several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. The synopsis says further that after a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey.
