During a precipitously scheduled hearing on the Capitol Hill insurrection of January 6, 2021, House select committee associates heard a deposition from Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson. During four closed-door depositions, Hutchinson revealed how members of the Trump inner circle and Trump himself were precautioned about probable violence on January 6 and that the then-president desired to join his allies at the Capitol. In Hutchinson's testimony, the committee supported the narrative that the Trump administration instigated and supported the insurrection to succeed in a second term, and many of Trump's consultants thought it unlawful.

Here is what you should know from the testimony:

1) A warning was issued to Trump and his chief of staff about the possibility of violence, including armed demonstrators.

2) The then-president pushed until the end to go to the Capitol.

3) Trump's aide recalls a second-hand incident where he reached for the steering wheel.

4) It was Cipollone who warned people will die, and his hands will be stained with blood.

5) The 25th Amendment was a great concern in the White House after the riots.

6) As a result of Trump's behaviour on January 6, Hutchinson believes his conduct was Non-American and somewhat traitorous to the nation.

7) Several witnesses have been tampered with, according to the committee.

Investigations and allegations surrounding January 6 have been denied by President Trump. As well as retaliating against witnesses who offered damaging public testimony against him, Trump has also retaliated against officials like a senior National security official at the White House, As well as his Representative to the European Union. When impeachment hearings were held in the U.S. House in 2019, both described his campaign to pressure Ukraine. As the committee reported, Trump has repeatedly used public and private channels to pressure possible witnesses against him, which fits with a pattern of behaviour he has demonstrated over years.
