The sixth and final season of "What We Do in the Shadows" has announced its premiere date on FX.

The final season will debut on October 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX. The first three of its 11 episodes will air on this date. New episodes will be released weekly. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Hulu. International streaming on Disney+ will follow.

Plot

The season's official description reveals key plot points. Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) re-evaluates his life after a brief period as a vampire. He questions his role as a familiar. The vampires also reflect on their lives. They realize their lack of achievements when a former roommate returns after a 50-year nap. They have not conquered much beyond their street and part of Ashley Street.

The series stars Harvey Guillén, Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Mark Proksch, and Kristen Schaal. The show is created by Jemaine Clement, who executive produces with Taika Waititi. Other executive producers include Paul Simms, Sam Johnson, Sarah Naftalis, Yana Gorskaya, Kyle Newacheck, Garrett Basch, and Eli Bush. FX Productions is the studio.

Emmy Nominations
