American guitarist Joe Michael "Dusty Hill" played guitar for the rock band "ZZ Top" for around 60 years. He even sang lead and backing vocals in addition to playing the keyboard. He died on July 28, 2021.

Who was Dusty Hill?

He was born in Dallas, Texas. When Hill was young, he, with his brother, Rocky Hill, began performing and playing music. Along with drummer Frank Beard and guitarist Billy Gibbons, he joined the newly formed ZZ Top in 1968.

As a member of ZZ Top, Hill was chosen in 2004 for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He died in 2021 after a period of declining health.
