Mock-ups obtained by Fox News Digital show President Donald Trump’s image featured on the inside cover, surrounded by the text of the Declaration of Independence, the American flag, and his signature in gold, as per a report by Fox News.

Another page highlights the well-known painting of the founding fathers during the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The cover itself has also been adjusted, with “United States of America” enlarged and positioned above the crest. On the back, an American flag appears with “250” placed between the 13 stars from the 1777 version of the flag.

When and where will the passports be available?

According to a State Department official speaking to Fox News Digital, the passports are set to roll out this summer to coincide with the 250th anniversary in July. They will be available to any American citizen applying for a passport, though only for as long as supplies last.

The official added that the special edition passports will be issued exclusively through the Washington Passport Agency.

State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott told Fox News Digital: "As the United States celebrates America's 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed U.S. passports to commemorate this historic occasion," emphasizing that despite the new artwork, the documents will maintain the same high-level security features.

Trump, America’s 250th birthday will be marked by a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that encapsulates the American spirit — including a spectacular fireworks display at Mount Rushmore that honors our history at the monument that symbolizes those who built it."

Between June 25 and July 10, 2026, the National Mall in Washington, D.C. will transform into the “Great American State Fair,” featuring rodeo-style attractions, a Ferris Wheel, and pavilions representing all states and territories.
