What is Incognito mode? Here’s how to disable it in Chrome

The incognito mode is generally considered a valuable feature of the Chrome browser. Parents sometimes feel the urge to check the browsing data of their children for obvious reasons. Incognito mode allows browsing without data storage. Many parents of growing children have felt the need to disable this feature to keep a tab on their children visiting undesirable sites. How to disable Incognito mode in Chrome?

1. You start with the Registry Editor. Windows + R keys will open the Run program, and type 'regedit 'in the menu and Enter.
2. Double-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE; this will appear on the left side menu.
3. Next, click software.
4. On the left panel, Policies will appear.
5. Open the folder (Policies) and find the Google folder.
In case the Google key is unavailable, create it by Right-clicking Policies.
Policies> New> Key if then name it ‘Google.
6. After opening the Google folder, search for the Chrome key. In case you do not find Chrome, you have to create it. Then, Right-click Google, click New> Key, and rename the folder as Chrome.
7. Right-click Chrome and choose DWORD 32-bit Value – rename it as Incognito Mode Availability.
8. You now have to set value data 1 for Incognito Mode availability DWORD value. By double-clicking and typing 1.
9. Finally, close the Registry editor.

The Incognito option will not appear now in your chrome menu.
