What If…? Season 2: Release date, trailer and everything else you need to know

Marvel Studios has released the trailer of the highly anticipated animated series 'What If' which will be out for the fans of the universe on December 22.

As a Christmas gift to the Marvel fans, the trailer of the new season ends with the popular Christmas tune and a quip around the festival.

When is season 2 releasing?
The studios have confirmed that the series will be out for the fans on December 22, 2024.


Calling it a gift to the fans, "Unwrap one episode every day for nine consecutive days as our gift to you!" said Marvel Studios on social media platform 'X.'

What did the trailer show?
The trailer of the 'What If' new season showed the faces of many heroes that one may recognise if one is an ardent fan of the universe. What really stands out in the trailer is Thanos fighting with Captain America. We also saw the glimpses of Scarlet Witch which is voiced by Elizabeth Olsen.



Where to watch season 2?
Fans of the Marvel Universe who are eagerly waiting for season 2 can stream it on Disney+ from December 22 onwards. You can stream the first season on the same streaming platform.

What is 'What If' about?
It was the first-ever animated show from Marvel Studios. It was released back in August 2021.

The series focuses on various possibilities that lie in the alternate timelines of the multiverse. This includes possibilities such as Thor and what if he never had Loki as a brother.
