What ​Britney Spears' ex-husband Sam Asghari has said about her memoir

Sam Asghari is all praises for his ex-wife Britney Spears, who is basking in the glory of success of her tell-all memoir "Women in Me".

Asghari said he was 'proud' of Spears, who showered only complimentary words about him in the explosive memoir

"I'm very proud of her and, you know, she put a lot of work to it, and it was very hard so I' m definitely excited and I'm extremely proud of her," he said.


The 'Oops I did it again' singer, who is often referred to as the 'Princess of Pop', has called Asghari a 'gift of God' in the book.

"I have an appreciation for how stable he is. I love that he doesn't even drink," she wrote.

Britney also wrote she "knew" she wanted Asghari in her life immediately.

"The chemistry with us in the beginning was insane. We couldn't keep our hands off each other," she said.

In less than 24 hours after it hit shelves, Spears' memoir topped Amazon’s Best Sellers and Barnes and Noble’s Best Sellers list.

The 41-year-old took to Instagram to share share her excitement after her memoir topped the bestseller list in the US. “It’s happening !!! My book is the highest selling celebrity memoir in history and it’s only day 1!!! Thank you to the fans who have been so supportive !!! Love you all !!! #TheWomanInMe @gallerybooks @simonandschuster,” Britney wrote.

Asghari and Spears met in October 2016 on the set of her music video. The duo made their relationship official by January of 2017. After the end of her conservatorship in 2021, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2022.

The couple called time on their one-year marriage in August.
