Former US President Donald Trump has always emerged out victorious in Texas during the US Presidential elections. This time also, eminent poll surveys and odds are indicating the same for the Republican Presidential candidate.

Former US President Donald Trump is currently having a lead over US Vice President Kamala Harris in Texas by margins which are approximately ranging from 4 to 12 percentage points, revealed several poll surveys which took place recently. According to Newsweek, such a performance of Donald Trump in polls certainly challenges the notion growing among some Democrats that Texas could be a competitive battleground state.

According to an Emerson College Poll which was conducted in October showed that Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump is having a lead of 7 points with 53% points compared to Kamala Harris’s 46% points. Newsweek noted that polling analytics from FiveThirtyEight indicated that Donald Trump has an average lead of near about 6.8 points in Texas while on the other hand, survey by ActiVote showed a far more strong 12 point advantage for Donald Trump.

Newsweek reported that Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump’s consistent lead in the state of Texas is pretty crucial because losing the state would significantly impact his campaign due to its 40 electoral votes.

Taylor Rogers, Spokesperson of the Republican National Committee attributed the lead of Donald Trump to dissatisfaction with policies of Kamala Harris specifically regarding the border security. Newsweek asserted that at the meantime Texas Senator Ted Cruz is also facing a challenge of reelection while recent poll survey showed him having a lead of approximately 7 points over Democratic challenger Colin Allred.
