This comes weeks after Cleveland was taken into custody by police on charges of driving under the influence, People magazine reported.
What went wrong?
In the court documents, Cleveland stated that he wants to part ways from his wife "because of adultery," according to TMZ Sports.The 26-year-old NFL star filed for divorce on February 28 at Baldwin County in the US state of Georgia.
The official split date between the couple has been mentioned as on or around December 29, 2024, the court documents stated.
Cleveland did not detail his cheating accusations against Terrell in the documents. Also, the two of them are yet to address the situation publicly.
In December last year, the two of them shared a great moment together just before the Ravens' 31-2 win in Houston on Christmas Day. Terrell had shared a photograph of them together on her Facebook page.
Along with the image, she wrote, "Christmas in Texas".
Terrell is an alumni of the University of Georgia and works at Red Dress, as per her Facebook page.
Ben Cleveland's arrest
The divorce filing comes 16 days after Cleveland was arrested on DUI charges in the same county, according to the New York Post.On February 12, he was taken into custody for DUI during a traffic stop in Georgia with a .178 BAC.
As per the police report, Cleveland claimed to have consumed “approximately 3-4 beers” before the incident. In addition to the DUI charge, he was issued a citation for failure to maintain a lane.
According to a February 17 release by the NFL, Cleveland was pulled over in Milledgeville on February 12 evening.
The official documents back then stated that he was swerving on the road and even weaving between lanes. It was stated that the official smelled alcohol from the vehicle, while Cleveland's eyes appeared glossy.
Cleveland's NFL career
The 315-pound O-lineman, who stands 6-foot-7, is a free agent this offseason. He got drafted during the third round by the Ravens back in 2021.During his four-year career with Ravens, Cleveland played for the side in 54 games and had seven starts. This past season, he took part in 18 games with zero starts.
Baltimore Ravens' 2024 season came to an end when the side conceded a 27-25 defeat to the Bills during the AFC Divisional Round.
