‘Wednesday’ Season 2 confirmed by Netflix; Here’s what we know

While the hangover of Season 1 isn’t over among binge-watchers, Netflix has announced its confirmation for season 2 of ‘Wednesday’.

The first season of the blockbuster drama, Wednesday, was dropped in November on Netflix. Since then, the Netflix drama has managed to bag more than 1 billion watch hours in a matter of a few weeks.

Netflix, via its official handle on Twitter, posted a cryptic tweet with a video of Wednesday typing.


In the next few hours, the streaming platform confirmed that Wednesday season 2 is on the way, leaving fans excited. The following tweet by Netflix also included a clip attached showing some clips of the first season. “It’s official: Wednesday Season 2 is coming,” tweeted Netflix.


Several Twitter users and Wednesday series fans responded to the official post in their own unique ways. Netflix has also made the announcement of the upcoming Wednesday Season 2 on YouTube.



The story of the Netflix drama, Wednesday starts with Wednesday Addams, who is a high school student and her brother Pugsley. The series revolves around the theme of misfits, as does the majority of Tim Burton's work, including the namesake heroine and her eerie family as well as outcasts in society and social groups.
