Washington Commanders' rookie Brian Robinson stable after being shot
Brian Robinson, a rookie for the Washington Commanders, was shot on August 28 but escaped serious injury. He was sent to a neighbouring hospital, where his condition was stable.

Brian Robinson, Washington Commander's rookie running back, was shot several times on August 28 during an attempt at robbery, according to the police department of Washington, D.C. The attempt could also have been for carjacking, said the department.
Soon after getting shot, Brian Robinson was shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.
The police stated that they received a call to reach the 1000 block of H Street NE. The police added that after reaching the shooting spot, they identified the victim as Brian Robinson. The two shots caused wounds to Robinson's lower extremities.
While issuing a statement, Washington Commanders acknowledged that the victim who suffered gunshots in an attempted robbery was Brian Robinson Jr. The commanders stated that Brain Robinson did not suffer any life-threatening wounds, and the player was stable after receiving immediate treatment. However, Robinson is still hospitalized, and the team officials are with him, added the Commanders. The team officials also requested to respect the privacy of the player.

The police later gave some details about the attack. The police officials stated that two suspects fled the crime scene soon after attacking the player. Meanwhile, the officials have recovered the gun used by the attackers. The gun was recovered at a short distance from the crime spot.
Robinson had secured a place in the 3rd round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the Washington Commanders. The player bagged headlines for his performance in two preseason matches played this month. He totaled 14 carries for 57 yards and one touchdown.
