After being ‘blamed’ for delaying the US Open men’s final between world No. 1 Jannik Sinner and No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, US President Donald Trump is once again at the center of online debate.
His appearance on Sunday has sparked a flurry of reactions, with many asking the same question: was Trump booed at the US Open? According to Newsweek, heightened security for his arrival pushed the start of the match back by 30 minutes and caused long entry delays for spectators, leaving both the crowd inside the stadium and the internet divided.
“As a result of the security measures in place, and to ensure that fans have additional time to get to their seats, we have pushed the start time of today’s match to 2:30 pm ET,” the US Open's official account posted on X.
The president attended as a guest of Rolex and observed from Rolex's suite. although the Swiss watchmaker's home country is subject to high tariffs.
Some X users termed him the worst president to ever exist because he was booed at the event, as they claimed. Others, however, are aggressive in proving that a vast majority of this crowd is cheering and liberals are lying. Below are some of the shared videos that were taken from different angles.
