For the 2024 live tour, a Strictly Come Dancing contestant has been reportedly forced to switch partners.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy discussed his “huge decision” to keep the dates after learning that Lauren Oakley had other job obligations.

As he prepares to dance with Jowita Przystal for the upcoming series of events, the newsreader, 53, revealed he was 'to and fro' about continuing without Lauren.

“#breakingnews,” Krishnan said in an Instagram photo on Tuesday. “We're at it again!! I'm going on the Strictly Come Dancing tour!!”

“It's going to be fantastic, but it's going to be different since @laurenmayoakley was already committed to touring with @giovannipernice, so it was a big decision for me and I went back and forth about it. But with Lauren’s trademark encouragement I’m very excited to be dancing with the amazing @jowitaprzystal so CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEW YEAR! xxxx”

“My entire time on Strictly has been life-changing,” Krishnan said in a press release.

“So the opportunity to continue, to take on another challenge, and to go on tour, this time with a new dance partner in Jowita, is appealing. I can hardly wait!”

On Tuesday, Strictly Come Dancing revealed which superstars will grace the glitter dance floor on its 2024 live tour.

Fans of the 2023 series will also be delighted to see EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and tennis champion Annabel Croft appear alongside Krishnan.

“I love dancing and I adore Strictly, so what better way to prolong this great experience than on the live tour,” Bobby, 20, who is slated to star alongside Dianne Buswell, said.

“I've heard from Dianne how much fun everyone has on the tour, so I can't wait to play alongside her in front of those massive arena crowds next year.”

While the youthful celebrity is eager to get his dance shoes on the road, Annabel, 57, with whom Graziano Di Prima will perform, seemed to share much of his excitement.
