Even if you have tried visiting Threads.net, it displays a QR code with iOS and Android’s logo below, with a text underneath which reads – “Get the App”. Therefore, officially, you can’t use it on either Windows or Mac. But there’s a way. Sadly, not for Mac, however, for Windows 11! Windows 11 comes with support for Android apps, officially, not via any third-party simulator.
How to install Threads on Windows 11?
Launch Microsoft Store > Install Amazon App Store (It will install Windows Subsystem for Android)
Install WSA Tools from Microsoft Store
Now, open Windows Subsystem for Android and head to Advance Settings
In Advance Settings, look for Developer mode and enable the toggle
Once downloaded, double-click on it to open WSATools
Select a folder for ADB when prompted by WSATools
In the bottom left corner of WSATools, click on the "Install" button.
Once the installation is complete, go to the Windows Start Menu and open Threads.
Now, you have Threads installed in your Windows 11 PC. Login with your Instagram credentials and enjoy Thread-ing.
Note: It won’t receive auto-updates or notify you. To update, download the latest APK file and repeat the same steps.
