Timing of your bookings
According to money-saving experts at Wethrift, strategic planning is the key. By examining flight and hotel data from Kayak, they found out that using PTO carefully in pairing with the optimal booking windows enables travelers to save money and enjoy longer trips.Domestic Flights: For U.S. domestic routes, best booking time is around 1 to 3 months before departure results in the lowest fares. Airlines adjust prices constantly, and this window tends to provide the best balance between availability and price.
International Flights: Planning overseas trips needs a longer lead time. Booking 3 to 6 months ahead of departure is mostly recommended for famous destinations such as Europe and Asia, offering both savings and more choices for flights and seating.
