Walmart drone delivery goes viral on TikTok. Here's what happened

Walmart drone delivery has been captured on TikTok and the video has gone viral.

A Walmart patron garnered viral attention by capturing their inaugural drone delivery from the retail giant, creating a buzz among viewers. Not widely known to many, Walmart has implemented an innovative and futuristic delivery service to ensure timely order deliveries for its customers, according to a report.

A TikTok user gained widespread attention after documenting the delivery of an item to her residence through a drone. The footage showcases the drone gracefully soaring through the sky, making its way directly to Brii's doorstep, dexerto reported.

Walmart's drone delivery service is currently available only in select locations, adding to the surprise factor for viewers witnessing this cutting-edge delivery method.

The retail giant initiated drone deliveries in 2022, introducing the service in specific markets across Texas, Arizona, and Florida. The limited availability of this service has contributed to the intrigue and excitement surrounding Walmart's venture into drone-based deliveries.

Earlier in December, Walmart's top executives said consumer behavior would be tougher to predict next year as financial strain pushes customers to be more cautious about spending their dollars.

The retail bellwether saw "anomalous type of behavior" from customers which "made us sit up in our chair" about the health of the consumer and what the purchasing behavior was, Chief Financial Officer John David Rainey said at the Morgan Stanley Global Consumer & Retail Conference.

About spending in the last two weeks of October being off trend compared to prior months, Rainey said it was 'puzzling', but the retailer did not intend to be "alarmist" in any way.

Walmart's stock had dropped 8 per cent on November 16 when the company first hinted at October spending during its quarterly earnings.
