Miller was released by the Buffalo Bills in March, a move that cleared $8.4 million in salary cap space. He had been set to count $23.9 million against the cap in 2024, second only to quarterback Josh Allen.
Miller’s stint in Buffalo was marked by highs and lows. After signing a six-year, $120 million contract in 2022, he started strong with eight sacks in 11 games before suffering a torn ACL in his right knee that November.
Adding to the turmoil, Miller was suspended for four games in 2023 after violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. The suspension followed an alleged domestic incident, though charges were never filed and the case was closed.
He rebounded in 2024, notching six regular-season sacks in a rotational role on the Bills’ defensive line. However, he saw limited action in the playoffs, never exceeding 21 snaps in any game.
