Officials say a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) leader from Virginia was killed while on vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Kent Carter was an American army veteran and was the NAACP Arlington chapter's vice president. The police force says he was killed in an ambush.
