Vince Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Andrean, survived a deadly plane crash at Scottsdale Airport, Arizona. The private Learjet 35A, which belonged to the Mötley Crüe singer, collided with a parked Gulfstream 200 business jet on Monday. Tragically, the pilot lost his life in the accident.

What happened at Scottsdale airport?

The plane, carrying Rain Andrean, her friend Ashley, the pilot, and the co-pilot, was arriving from Austin, Texas. As it attempted to land, the aircraft veered off the runway and crashed into a parked jet. According to Scottsdale Airport spokesperson Kelli Kueste, the left main gear of the Learjet appeared to have failed, leading to the collision.

Rain Andrean, also known as Rain Hannah, 54, and Ashley survived but suffered injuries. Andrean reportedly has five broken ribs. Two survivors are in critical condition, while one is stable. The two dogs traveling with them also survived.

Mötley Crüe's manager, Allen Kovac, confirmed to TMZ that Vince Neil, 64, was not on board at the time. Neil expressed gratitude to first responders and extended his condolences to the victim's families through a statement on social media.

Cause of the crash

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. The Learjet was landing when, for reasons still unknown, it veered off course. Scottsdale Fire Department Captain Dave Folio confirmed that emergency teams responded immediately to the scene.

The runway at Scottsdale Airport has been closed and will remain shut for the foreseeable future. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash. The airport is a major hub for private jets, especially during high-profile events in the Phoenix area.

Vince Neil’s statement

In a statement released on X, Neil’s lawyer said, “For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with a parked plane.” He added that Neil’s thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

Kovac mentioned that Mötley Crüe is brainstorming ways to support the affected families. The band is known for its strong connection with fans and charitable efforts in the past.
