'Vikings: Valhalla' to end with upcoming third season in 2024

The popular historical drama series 'Vikings: Valhalla' is gearing up for its final season, set to premiere in 2024. This announcement comes from Deadline, a US-based media outlet, marking the end of an adventurous journey.

Created by Jeb Stuart, 'Vikings: Valhalla' serves as a sequel to the original series 'Vikings,' crafted by Michael Hirst. The show's journey began in February 2022 and was granted a two-season renewal. Set in the early 11th century, it recounts the legendary exploits of renowned Vikings such as Leif Eriksson, portrayed by Sam Corlett, Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), Harald Hardrada (Leo Suter), and the Norman King William the Conqueror. These characters navigate an ever-changing world, battling for survival.

The series also features a talented ensemble cast, including Bradley Freegard, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Goran Visnjic, Laura Berlin, David Oakes, Pollyanna McIntosh, Soren Pilmark, Bradley James, Hayat Kamille, Marcin Dorocinski, and Sofya Lebedeva.


Jeb Stuart, who not only created the series but also serves as the showrunner and executive producer, leads a team of executive producers that includes Morgan O'Sullivan, Michael Hirst, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer, and Paul Buccieri.
