USMNT to play friendlies against Uzbekistan, Oman: Know their new head coach, 24 probable

Five uncapped players have been included in the list of 24 probable for the USMNT. What is their program for September and October? Who has joined as their new coach?

Gregg Berhalter has returned to the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) as its head coach and has called 24 probable players to get trained for the friendly matches against Uzbekistan and Oman in the US next month. The USMNT will take on the White Wolves of Uzbekistan on September 9 in St. Louis and Oman’s Gulf Samba three days later in Minnesota. They will meet Ghana and Germany in October.


Uncapped players for USMNT


Five uncapped players have been included. The 21-year-old left-back Kristoffer Lund represented Denmark at five youth international levels. He also moved from Swedish side BK Hacken to Serie B side Palermo this season. Besides, Inter Miami midfielder Ben Cremaschi, and Wolfsburg youngster Kevin Paredes Inter Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender are also among the probables. Callendar was in the CONCACAF Nations League championship, though he did not appear.



USMNT face injured players


Tyler Adams is still recovering from his injuries, so he will miss this opportunity. Josh Sargent and Celtic star Cameron Carter-Vickers will miss it as they are still recovering from their injuries. Borussia Dortmund playmaker Giovanni Reyna will certainly make it. Haji Wright, Brandon Vazquez, Zack Steffen, Kellyn Acosta, Walker Zimmerman, and Auston Trusty too have not been included in the list of probable.

Defenders: Sergino Dest (PSV Eindhoven), Krisoffer Lund (Palermo), Chris Richards (Crystal Palace), Antonee Robinson (Fulham), Mark McKenzie (Genk), Kevin Paredes (Wolfsburg), Tim Ream (Fulham), Miles Robinson (Atlanta United), Joe Scally (Borussia Monchengladbach).
