Usher and BTS’s Jungkook To Collaborate For New Remix Of ‘Standing Next To You’

BIGHIT MUSIC announced on November 29 at midnight KST that Jungkook would be releasing a new "Usher Remix" of his solo title track "Standing Next to You" in collaboration with Usher later this week.

The new remix, according to the agency, "adds a velvety touch to the energetic vibe of the original version, showcasing the synergy between the two artists in full force."

"Standing Next to You - Usher Remix" by Jungkook will be released on December 1 at 2 p.m. KST.


BTS famously referred to Usher in their lyrics for their breakthrough hit "Butter," saying, "Don't need no Usher/To remind me you got it bad."

Usher responded to the song's initial release by sharing a video of himself strutting his stuff to it.

BTS took home the night's big winner at the prestigious MAMA awards, which were hosted in Tokyo, Japan.

The well-known K-pop quartet won not one, but two important awards: Worldwide Fans' Choice and Icon of the Year.

SEVENTEEN, TWICE, and Zerobaseone are among the other winners of the fans' choice award.
