US stock market today: S&P 500 nears record high, Dow Jones and Nasdaq jump, all eyes on Nvidia earnings results

Shares in tech and AI heavyweights Alphabet and Amazon, Microsoft and Meta Platforms, among Nvidia's biggest customers, were mixed.
