Brandi Mallory, renowned for her appearance on the reality TV show Extreme Weight Loss, has passed away at the age of 40. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed her death on November 9 in Stone Mountain, Ga. The cause of her demise has not been disclosed.
Mallory was part of Season 4 of the ABC series back in 2014. Later in 2018, she opened up about her weight loss journey in a YouTube interview.
Motivated by the untimely death of a sorority sister at 29, Mallory expressed the fear that her own life might be cut short. She recounted seeing a casting call for The Biggest Loser and, although not selected for that show, fate led her to Extreme Weight Loss.
During her time on the show, Mallory bravely shared her challenges, revealing that at her heaviest, she weighed around 329 lbs. She undertook significant physical feats, including participating in the Half Ironman, a grueling fitness challenge involving swimming, biking, and running for a combined 70.3 miles in less than eight hours.

On November 12, Mallory's family and friends gathered to honor her memory. A memorial service, outlined in her obituary, is set to take place on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in Lithonia, Ga.
