US Presidential Election 2024: Is Joe Biden being endorsed by Mark Zuckerberg?
CEO of the Meta Group which is the parent company of Facebook and Instagram among others has a political decision to make. Immediately after the US Presidential Election in 2020, Donald Trump’s accounts on these social networking sites were suspended for what was termed as spreading ‘fake news’.

This has prompted many to wonder if Mark Zuckerberg who is the CEO of this company is supporting Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election in November. He recently sat down for an interview with Bloomberg and spoke about his political choices.

Who is he endorsing politically?

During the course of the interview, he said that he had done many things in the past personally. In the upcoming presidential election in November, he said that he would remain neutral and not endorse any candidate from either of the two leading parties.

Trump’s assassination attempt:

Zuckerberg while refusing to endorse the former US President said that the images after the assassination attempt on Trump showing him stand up with raised fists was incredible. He said that it is this spirit that led to many people supporting him.

Meta’s policy on the upcoming presidential election:

Meta has in recent times taken a decision to limit the number of political posts on Facebook and Instagram which appear on the feed of the user. Many have argued that these social networking sites need to eschew political content as the users use this medium to connect with their families and friends.

The users have gained control over the content they wish to see. Only if a user decides to follow content related to politics, will they be shown content pertaining to the upcoming election.
