US President Joe Biden pardons thousands of Marijuana convicts. Will it shoot up his voters' approval in 2022?
Americans are grateful that US President Joe Biden has decided that marijuana-related crimes are ridiculous and paved the way for thousands of convicts to be released from prison and pardoned and released. The decision to legalise marijuana was passed during former US President Barack Obama’s time and ratified by his successor Donald Trump.

This law has gone down very well with Democratic voters, mainly as this is an electoral promise that stands fulfilled by Biden. The next step of freeing the people incarcerated on marijuana-related charges was also initiated as President Biden said that equating marijuana to a class one drug like heroin or brown sugar is stupid and needs to be done away with. His supporters have hailed the move it is deemed good that such archaic laws are being restructured in places due to the medicinal properties of marijuana that have been researched and known.

The law was implemented by most nations in 1971 after USA classified marijuana as a class one drug.
The new law would bring black people to vote for Biden and the Democrats. The president has been lauded for keeping his word on bringing the non-white community into the American fold. This new law would go a long way in bridging the river of understanding between black and white people. Plenty of blacks languish in prisons for marijuana crimes like possession and consumption. This new law has been hailed as a historic move.
