US Open 2025 prize money sees biggest increase in history
Last year (2024), the US Tennis Association (USTA) offered $75 million in prize money, calling it the "largest purse in tennis history." For 2025, the total prize money has jumped to $90 million, a 20% increase from last year. This is now the highest prize pool in tennis history, according to the USTA press release.USTA said they made sure there were double-digit percentage increases for all rounds of all events and gave extra prize money to those reaching deep into the singles draws. Players also got help with reduced out-of-pocket costs — each will receive a $1,000 travel stipend and two hotel rooms at the official player hotel (or $600 per day if staying elsewhere). In total, this adds up to $5 million in support, as per the report by Business Insider.
