The Winter Olympics may be over a year away, but the US is not taking any chances in its quest to win the most number of medals. The nation’s mixed double curling trials, which are currently underway, just one example of this.

The trials will open the door to the 2026 Milan Cortina Games, or the upcoming Winter Olympics. The winner of the trials will advance to the world championships, where the top seven countries qualify for the Olympics, based on the combined results from the 2024 and 2025 editions of the tournament.

As the exciting curling trials are underway, here is everything you need to know about where to watch the program.


USA Olympic curling trials: Dates

The trials will take place from February 17 to 23. The games will be held at Rock Creek Curling in Colorado’s Lafayette. The semifinals will be held on Saturday, February 22. The final, which will be based on best of three games, will take place on Sunday, February 23.

USA Olympic curling trials: Where to watch

The games can be watched on Peacock and NBC Sports. CNBC will stream the semifinal as well as the best-of-three final on February 22 and 23. The matches can also be steamed on Fubo.

USA Olympic curling trials: Mixed doubles teams

Siblings Becca and Matt Hamilton, who placed 10th in last years’ world championships, are there in the trials. Apart from that, Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin, who won the US their first entry into any Olympic curling event in 20 years are also participating.

Madison Bear-Aidan Oldenburg, Sarah Anderson-Andrew Stopera, Lexi Daly-Luc Violette, Nina Roth- Kroy Nernberger, Clare Moores-Lance Wheeler, BriAnna Weldon-Sean Franey, Aileen Geving-John Shuster and Taylor Anderson-Heide-Ben Richardson are the other teams in the event.

However, Vicky Persinger and Chris Plys, who were the winners of the last Olympic Trials, are not participating in this year’s event, NBC reported.

USA Olympics curling: Road ahead

The team that wins the trials will proceed to the world championships in May. If they manage to enter the top seven spots, they are guaranteed a berth in the Olympics. Host Italy is exempt from this rule.

If the US fails to secure a spot in the mixed doubles curling event, they still have more chances to reach the Olympics. The trials for the men’s and women’s team will take place in November. The event will take place from November 7 to 16 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in South Dakota’s Sioux Falls.
