The United States went into the mid-term elections on Tuesday, and the counting is ongoing. As speculated by President Joe Biden himself, the Democrats are likely to hold the Senate while the House is expected to witness a tough fight. With a balance of power in Congress to be the expected outcome, the focus will now be on the next US Presidential elections which are in 2024.
Many political pundits in the US expect the Republicans to take hold of the House, which would make the 2024 presidential elections extremely interesting. And to as many analysts believe, former POTUS Donald Trump could make a return to the race for a third time consecutively.
For the Democratic Party, President Biden is most likely to run for a second term in office, and Kamala Harris will be running for her second term as Vice President.
