On Sunday, September 9, the US President, Joe Biden, commemorated the anniversary of 9/11. It has been twenty-one since the horror that was 9/11, with over three thousand innocents who lost their lives. The terrorist attack shook American soil and the whole world along with it. President Joe Biden addressed the people, saying that 21 years is a lifetime and no time. But it is good to remember. The memories often take us back to grief, but they can also help us heal. 9/11: The Aftermath The day of 9/11 was a horror for many. Terrorists hijacked airplanes and crashed them into the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and the third in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Thousands of innocent people lost their lives, and it took years to move out of that.
After the attack, people came together and lent their hands to help. Communities opened their doors to refugees, and everyone tried to be brave to recover from the attack.
There was always the fear of attacks happening in the future, but people came out, and businesses returned to their feet.
Posters were put out to search for missing family members. Food banks were opened. At that time, unity helped everyone recover from the loss, even without cell connection and social media.
