A high-profile Republican candidate for the US Senate, Herschel Walker, standing on a strongly anti-abortion platform, faces claims from a second woman that he paid for her to have a termination.
Walker has Donald Trump's backing and is running close to Raphael Warnock in the mid-term race. A second woman spoke to reporters anonymously on Zoom and said Herschel Walker pressurized her to end her pregnancy.
Neither of the two women was comfortable sharing their identity. One woman, whose lawyer addresses her as 'Jana Doe', said she was in a relationship with Walker for years while he was still married and drove her to a clinic.

Trump's order allows agencies to reclassify workers involved in policy-making to a new "Schedule F" category without the job protections they have now. The agencies must complete their reviews by Jan. 19, the day before President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration. The White House order says Trump is pushing to streamline the federal bureaucracy, increase accountability and make it easier to clear out "poor performers." The federal government employs about 2 million people in total.

Critics call the move part of an ongoing assault on government bureaucracy that has drained expertise and skills during the Trump administration. Biden has already pledged to rescind other executive orders targeting federal workers once he takes office. But any move to root out Trump loyalists could run afoul of a ban on firing people for partisan affiliation - the one civil service protection the order left intact for Schedule F workers.

The news conference was virtual, and the woman did not appear in front of the camera. She said that Walker pressured her to get an abortion. She adds, 'He has publicly taken the position that he is about life and against abortion under any circumstance, when in fact he pressured me to have an abortion and personally ensured that it occurred by driving me to the clinic and paying for it.'
Gloria Allred, her lawyer, showed proof in the form of a hotel receipt, a voicemail from 1992, and love letters to prove the two were in a relationship. Walker rejected the accusation by calling it a lie and reiterates that he is firmly against abortion.
