The first federal holiday that Americans will soon enjoy is the start of the new year's festivities. The new year (2023) will be ushered in at midnight on December 31 by people all over the world. The day also marks the beginning of New Year's Day, the first recognized federal holiday in the US for the year, which falls on January 1.

However, because January 1st, 2023 falls on a Sunday, the holiday will be observed on January 2. 11 significant days that Americans recognize and celebrate make up the list of US federal holidays, which was first adopted by Congress in 1885 when it was decided that federal employees should have specific days off from work.
Additionally, guidelines have been established to ensure that national holidays are observed by all individuals and institutions.
