Ronald Reagan's biopic titled 'Reagan' featuring Dennis Quaid in the lead role as 40th President of the US has been doing positive business at the domestic box-office. In his long career, Dennis Quaid has sometimes played politicians. He's been former President Bill Clinton ("The Special Relationship") and was the president in the musical comedy "American Dreamz" with Hugh Grant and Willem Dafoe.

Made on a modest budget of $25 million, Reagan's domestic box-office collection has hit $10-million mark till Tuesday. 'Reagan' was the only new release competitive with holdover films that opened earlier this summer. Exceeding projections, the first full-length film about former President Ronald Reagan earned $7.4 million over the three-day Labor Day 2024 weekend.

Audiences have reacted to the movie positively, giving it an A CinemaScore and a 98 per cent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have been less receptive, giving it a 19 per cent rating and deeming it rotten on the popular ratings site. It ranked number 4 on the charts.
