Perry Greene, the husband of Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, filed for divorce on Wednesday. Perry Greene's divorce petition states that their marriage was irretrievably ruined.

According to court documents, the conservative US Congresswoman, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Perry Greene, have been married for just over 27 years. Perry Greene claimed in his petition that before he submitted the documents in Georgia's Floyd County, he and the congresswoman had been in a bonafide state of separation.

He requested that the divorce be sealed because it would contain confidential information, the publication of which would adversely harm the parties' interests.

Marjorie Taylor Greene reportedly confirmed receiving the divorce petition on Wednesday in court documents.

The congresswoman's representatives said the divorce is a private and personal affair in response to a request for comment.
