‘Upset’ Texas man ‘intentionally’ crashes car into a closed Kroger store for a bizarre reason; police reveal real motive

A bizarre incident surfaced in Texas where a man was arrested after he intentionally crashed his vehicle through the front door of a Kroger grocery store on Sunday morning (September 27, 2026). According to police, the man, whose identity was not known at the time of filing of this report, crashed his vehicle because he wanted to use the bathroom. The incident took place overnight just before 4:30 a.m. on Sunday in Rosenberg when the business was closed and the man was allegedly upset that the doors were locked. The crash reportedly caused extensive damage to the store.

Police release images

Rosenberg Police released images of the incident in a Facebook post showing the vehicle inside the store with shattered glass inside and outside the doors of the building. The metal door frames were also severely damaged.


“On Sunday, September 27th, at approximately 0428, a known male individual intentionally accelerated into Kroger, causing extensive damage to the pharmacy entrance,” Rosenberg Police wrote on Facebook. “I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go but we strongly advise finding a store open for business…to do your business,” the department added.

What we know about the suspect

The suspect was reportedly a 60-year-old man with police telling FOX 26 that the man was arrested on criminal mischief charges.

Meanwhile, in another incident that occurred in California, a married couple was arrested over allegations of shooting and killing their son-in-law near a park in Dublin, police announced on Sunday (September 27, 2026).

The incident surfaced when a sergeant of the Dublin Police Services noticed a man lying in the parking lot while driving near the Dublin Sports Grounds located at 6700 Dublin Blvd., just before 3:10 p.m. on Saturday (September 26, 2026). FOX2 KTVU reported, citing a police department statement.
