UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was killed before a Midtown hotel, and now the NYPD chief of detectives has said that, after a long search and hunt for a lead and the shooter, an individual has now been nabbed by the police and federal authorities, who was in possession of a firearm, and fake IDs. The gun in context, also had a suppressor attached to it and Mangione was also in possession of a document railing against the health care industry, as per a CNN report.According to a previous ET report, a backpack was brought into possession of the police authorities, and inside it a lot of Monopoly money was found along with a jacket, which made it one of the hottest leads in the case, other than this latest arrest.
It is still not clear as to why the man chose Brian Thompson in the first place, but he was reportedly quite critical and concerned about the condition of the healthcare industry in the United States.
