Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready for peace with Russia, but with these five conditions

In the U.N. General Assembly, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, announced to the United Nations that he is okay with peace with Russia, although he has five non-negotiable conditions.

On Wednesday, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the world leaders and stated that after almost seven months of the Russia-Ukraine war that has exterminated thousands of people, Volodymyr Zelensky is open to peace with Russia, but he applied five non-negotiable conditions.

In a pre-recorded video message sent to the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia should be punished for trying to invade its neighbour, Ukraine, on February 24.

Ukraine and Russia's previous negotiations to end the fight have failed. Moscow's partial mobilisation signals that it is not okay with peace terms. Zelenskyy has cautioned that this winter, Russia may prepare its military for another invasion of Ukraine.


Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the war is for their life, and they need Western-made weapons, air defence, and financial support from the world to defend themselves. After Zelensky's speech, the E.U's foreign policy chief said that additional sanctions would be implemented on Russia.
